We got these head bands a few weeks ago at Raylon and they are so cute and trendy!

This gold headband is the one I got! It’s so pretty and I love the color. I can wear it with almost anythingheadband.

Here is a video of a pink pewter rep showing how to wear the headbands!

Redken Goodies Haul

Here is my haul of Redken beauty products that I was given to try out on my first day working at Raylon! I really like all of these products so far. They all work really well and do what they’re supposed to do. I’ve only been trying out the Blonde Idol Custom-Tone Conditioners for a few days so I haven’t seen much change yet but I’ve been told they definitely work!

Do you have any of these products or a different Redken product that you love?? Let me know!

Something Fishy for Summer

The fishtail braid is an easy hairstyle that doesn’t take a lot of time and is a perfect look for summer. My sister inspired this post today. She is just starting to get interested in doing her own hair and trying out all kinds of hair styles. Her latest is the fishtail braid!

My younger sister made a fishtail braid in my hair today. Pretty good, don’t you think?!

Here’s a step by step graphic to help you learn how. That is, if you haven’t already tried it yet!

Plus, here are some tips from The Beauty Department:

  • For a smoother braid, brush your hair out first. For a messier braid, leave the natural texture and separate the hair with your fingers.
  • Create a pony tale using a clear elastic before you begin braiding. Then cut it out after you finish the braid. This will keep your braid nice and neat and you wont have to worry about holding all the pieces together while you braid.
  • Don’t think too hard about this braid and end up confusing yourself. You’re simply making X’s with your strands; moving pieces of hair from side to side.

Try it out and send me a pic if you’d like!

Frozen Fun

frozenIn honor of Disney’s Frozen coming out on DVD yesterday, I thought I would write my own little post about it! If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s a must. Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are the voices of Anna and Elsa and it is such a cute, heartwarming story about adventure and sisterhood, PLUS the visual aspect of all the ice and snow is awesome. The main characters Elsa and Anna’s hairstyles have become so popular, beauty vloggers are making tutorials about them all over Youtube.

Bella Jules Spring Look Book Photoshoot

This past weekend a friend of mine who is a stylist asked me to be her assistant for a day to help her with the photo shoot for the Bella Jules spring look book at the Stirling Guest Hotel. I was so excited for it and had so much fun! Everyone was amazing; the models, hairstylist, make up artist, and photographer did fabulous and I’m so glad I got to meet all of them! It was an awesome experience and I cannot wait to see the finished product. čÖé
