Trend to Try: Flash Tattoos

This trend is catching on like crazy. I’ve seen it in magazines, such as vogue, and at work! We tried them out at Raylon and love them! The gold and silver really stand out on your skin and looks so different from any tattoos you’ve seen before.

Here are the tattoos I tried out. The bracelet and the ring are the best examples of the trend, and the tattoos on my foot and arm are more like regular temporary tattoos.

Find the trend at The tattoos we tried are the Goldfish Kiss pack.

Here’s what the pack looks like:

Pretty cool, right?

Try it out!

Redken Goodies Haul

Here is my haul of Redken beauty products that I was given to try out on my first day working at Raylon! I really like all of these products so far. They all work really well and do what they’re supposed to do. I’ve only been trying out the Blonde Idol Custom-Tone Conditioners for a few days so I haven’t seen much change yet but I’ve been told they definitely work!

Do you have any of these products or a different Redken product that you love?? Let me know!

Summer Nail Inspiration

My summer nail inspiration came from Glamour Magazine’s July Issue. These “perfect nail combos” are just right for summer. I love little articles like this because you can either try their ideas or they can give you great ideas of your own!

I was inspired by “The Office” nail combination. I absolutely love the orange and gold duo because those colors really represent summer in my mind. So, instead of buying the colors they list in this article (which was totally tempting) I decided to recreate the color combo with polishes I already own. Luckily I have oranges and golds already, so I decided to use my Milani’s “Juicy Glo” + Milani’s “Golden Goddess” + China Glaze’s “Blonde Bombshell.”polish

Here’s how I did my combination:

What’s your favorite summer nail combo?

This Past Month…

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last posted already!

So, a quick update on my life since my last post:

1. I turned 22 🙂

2. Soon after my birthday I was in a car accident that landed me in the ER but no worries! I was just very sore and didn’t need any stitches. (thank god)

3. I got a job!!!!!!! Well, it’s a paid internship, but it’s exactly what I was hoping to find!! I started working for Raylon last week 🙂logo_raylon

4. Raylon is a Professional Salon Products Distributor and on my first day I got  some Redken products to try. I’m loving them so I’ll probably post about them soon !

I’ve also been enjoying some down time at the pool; my favorite way to spend summer!

Look forward to more posts related to “how to look/dress professional” because I’m super excited about my new job and dressing the part is so important! I’m coming up with ideas as I write this 🙂

Friday Fashion: Let’s Talk About Shoes!

Shoes are a VERY important accessory to keep up with from season to season. Who doesn’t love SHOES? So let’s talk about Spring shoe styles! I wear a LOT of sandals over the spring/summer seasons. I basically just replaced flip-flops with sandals as I got older. I realized I don’t really enjoy wearing flip-flops and working to keep them on my feet all day. Plus sandals look much better with a stylish outfit. While sandals are still on trend for Spring,  it’s time to branch out and try these shoes! Here are the top shoe trends for Spring 2014:

Spring Shoe Trends
Block heels are the most style-savvy trend this spring, and they can really be paired with anything. Some would look great with your LBD and some look more like sandals with a heel so pair them with your favorite capris!

Spring Shoe Trends: Flat Slides
Slides are HUGE this spring. With Birkenstocks back in style, this trend can be worn any way your little heart desires. Too bad I got rid of my Birkenstocks long ago…

Spring Shoe Styles: Crystal Embellished Sandals
These beauties are super trendy this season and are perfect to dress down with jeans or dress up your favorite little shift dress!

Which style is your go-to for shoes?

11 Things Every Fashionable Woman Should Have By 30

Today I wanted to pass along a post I found on Harper’s BAZAAR. It was written by Kerry Pieri back in February but I just love posts like these and had to share. These are 11 things you may want to save up for and own before you turn 30. I thought it was fun to see what items I own that fall into these categories for me personally. Below are links back to the Harper’s BAZAAR post, and my own items off of this list!
